About Us
Deciding how to look after an aged family member who can no longer manage on their own is one of the most difficult decisions we are faced with in life.
Solemar Orewa offers a homely atmosphere, comfort for all residents, and premium individual care for your loved one. Family and friends are welcome to visit at any time.
Solemar Orewa is a privately owned aged care home with specialised hospital and secure dementia facilities.
Favoured with a fine location in a peaceful haven off Hibiscus Coast Highway and overlooking Red Beach, we are professional, supportive, and caring.
Our Team
Solemar’s team of professionals understand the special needs of those with age-related illnesses. This means we can offer the highest standard of care for our residents.
A Registered Nurse, supported by a team of Care Assistants, is on duty at all times. Our Manager and Clinical Manager are always contactable.
You can rest assured that your loved ones are in good hands and are always on call for our residents needs.

Facilities
With just 29 beds and a full complement of trained staff, Solemar Orewa provides personalised care that enables quality of life to be optimised for the residents.
Our bedrooms are large, sunny and well ventilated. Our living areas are light, spacious and comfortably furnished. While our residents are assured of privacy, they can enjoy one another’s company in our shared living areas.
Handy to Orewa town centre and Wenderholm Regional Park, and only 15 minutes drive from Albany, we provide regular outings for our residents.
New Management
With new owners and managers, Solemar Orewa is being fully refurbished to create an even more homely, comfortable and stimulating environment.
Solemar Orewa is certified by the Ministry of Health, with DHB Contracts for Dementia Care, Hospital Care and Long Term Support – Chronic Health Conditions.
We invite you to visit Solemar if you are considering a home away from home for an aged relative whose needs may suit our special kind of care.

“We would recommend Solemar without hesitation if you are considering care of a loved one”
